Romanticizing Life as a Student📖✨

Being a student isn’t always cute. There are long days, group assignments (with that one person who is never serious 🙄), messy notes, running on few hours of sleep, and praying your Wi-Fi doesn’t betray you during submissions. It’s chaos sometimes. But lately, I’ve been learning how to romanticize this season, and oh, how it’s changing everything.

Romanticizing life doesn’t mean pretending it’s perfect. It means choosing to slow down, soak in the little joys, and make even the ordinary feel magical.

I have a good meal before I even think of opening a book because studying on an empty stomach? No thank you 😌🍽️
Then I switch on my cute desk lamp, and the glow just instantly sets the mood.
Soft R&B plays in the background, my pink pajamas are on (because comfort is non-negotiable), and my space feels peaceful.
There are Bible verses, little quotes, and pictures of my parents on the wall, reminders of who I am, where I come from, and Who I’m doing this for.
And of course, my loyal glass of cold water stays beside me. My type of vibe, really.

But it’s not just about the aesthetic.
It’s about creating little pockets of peace in a busy life.
Romanticizing my student life reminds me that this season is beautiful too, even if it’s stressful, even if I’m figuring things out. These are the days I’ll look back on and smile. So why not make them feel lovely while I’m in them?

I’m learning to celebrate small wins, like finishing a reading, surviving a group project, or waking up on time for class (we all know that’s an Olympic sport).
I journal my thoughts, pray before starting assignments, and remind myself that I’m doing my best. And that’s enough 🤍

If you’re a student like me, maybe try adding a little softness to your days:

 – Make your bed and open the curtains.

– Romanticize your walk to class.

– Romanticize your entire life, actually.

Because this is your story. And even this chapter, where the plot is thick with exams, budgeting, and figuring out who you are, deserves to be told with a little sparkle ✨
